GPD 1814982 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1814982 is a direct-fit replacement ignition knock sensor (also known as a detonation sensor) engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications. GPD, also known as Global Parts Distributors, has been a trusted supplier of quality automotive components since 1974, delivering reliable, professionally-grade parts at competitive prices.

The knock sensor monitors the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold for abnormal vibrations associated with engine pre-ignition or detonation. When knock is detected, the signal is sent to the engine control module (ECM), which adjusts ignition timing to protect the engine and restore efficient combustion. A properly functioning knock sensor is essential for maintaining optimal engine performance, protecting internal engine components, and preserving fuel efficiency.

Key Features:

• Designed to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function
• 100% tested for durability and reliable performance
• Direct-fit replacement — no modifications required
• Manufactured to stringent quality standards
• Backed by GPD's 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

Replacing a faulty knock sensor restores proper ignition timing control, helping to eliminate engine ping, reduce the risk of detonation damage, and ensure the engine runs at peak efficiency. The GPD 1814982 delivers the reliability and precision fit needed for a confident, straightforward installation.
