GPD 1814974 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1814974 is an aftermarket ignition knock sensor (also known as a detonation sensor) engineered as a direct-fit replacement for select vehicles. GPD (Global Parts Distributors) is a national distributor of aftermarket automotive engine management and HVAC parts, designing their sensors to meet or exceed original equipment fit, form, and function.

The knock sensor monitors the engine block or cylinder head for abnormal vibrations caused by engine knock, pre-ignition, or detonation. When knock is detected, the sensor signals the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), which adjusts ignition timing to protect the engine from damage. A failed or faulty knock sensor can result in retarded timing, reduced performance, poor fuel economy, and a check engine light (DTC P0325–P0332 range).

Key Features:

• Designed to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function specifications
• 100% tested for durability and performance prior to shipment
• Direct-fit replacement — no modifications required
• Professional-grade construction using quality materials
• Backed by GPD's 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

This GPD knock sensor is a reliable, cost-effective solution for restoring proper engine timing control and eliminating knock-related diagnostic trouble codes.
