GPD 1814964 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1814964 is a direct-fit ignition knock (detonation) sensor engineered to OE specifications for a precise, reliable replacement. GPD (Global Parts Distributors) has been a trusted name in the automotive parts industry since 1974, supplying premium-quality components at competitive prices.

The knock sensor is mounted to the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, where it monitors engine vibration caused by pre-ignition or detonation. When abnormal knock is detected, the sensor sends a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), which retards ignition timing to protect the engine from damage and restore normal combustion.

Key Features:

• Engineered to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function
• 100% tested for durability and performance prior to packaging
• Direct-fit replacement for straightforward installation
• Helps prevent engine damage caused by spark knock and pre-detonation
• Restores proper ignition timing control via the PCM
• Built from premium materials for long-lasting service life
• Backed by GPD's 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

A failed knock sensor can trigger a check engine light, cause poor fuel economy, and leave your engine vulnerable to detonation damage. The GPD 1814964 restores accurate knock sensing so your engine management system can protect and optimize engine performance.
