GPD 1814963 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1814963 is a direct-fit replacement ignition knock sensor, also known as a detonation sensor, designed to restore proper engine management function. The knock sensor is mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, where it monitors for abnormal engine vibrations caused by pre-ignition or detonation (engine knock).

When the ECU detects a knock signal, it retards ignition timing to protect the engine from damage. A failed or faulty knock sensor can trigger a Check Engine light, reduce fuel efficiency, and leave the engine vulnerable to detonation damage. Replacing it with a quality part like the GPD 1814963 restores accurate timing control and engine protection.
