GPD 1811976 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor Direct Fit Replacement

The GPD 1811976 is a direct-fit replacement ignition knock sensor (also known as a detonation sensor) designed to meet or exceed original equipment fit, form, and function. GPD — Global Parts Distributors — is a trusted name in aftermarket automotive components, engineering each sensor to OE specifications for reliable, drop-in installation.

The knock sensor is mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, where it continuously monitors the engine for abnormal vibrations caused by pre-ignition or detonation (engine knock). When knock is detected, the sensor generates a voltage signal that the engine control module (ECM) uses to retard ignition timing and protect the engine from damage.

Key Features:

• OE-match engineering — designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for fit, form, and function
• 100% tested — each unit is tested for durability and performance before leaving the factory
• Direct fit replacement — no modifications required for installation
• Protects engine integrity — helps prevent damage caused by pre-ignition and detonation
• 12-month warranty — backed by GPD's standard one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

Replacing a faulty knock sensor restores proper ECM timing control, eliminates knock-related check engine lights (DTC codes), and helps maintain fuel efficiency and engine longevity. The GPD 1811976 is sold as an individual unit.
