GPD 1811759 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor Direct Fit Replacement

The GPD 1811759 is a direct-fit ignition knock sensor, also known as a detonation sensor or ping sensor, engineered to restore proper engine management function. GPD (Global Parts Distributors) manufactures this sensor to meet or exceed original equipment (OE) specifications for reliable, like-factory performance.

Key Features:

• OE-matched design: Engineered to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function for a seamless replacement
• 100% tested: Every unit is tested for durability and performance before leaving the factory
• Direct-fit replacement: Installs in the factory location with no modification required
• Professional quality construction: Built from premium materials for long-lasting service life
• 1-year warranty: Backed by GPD's standard manufacturer defect warranty

The knock sensor monitors the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold for unusual vibrations associated with engine pre-ignition or detonation. When knock is detected, the vehicle's ECU retards ignition timing to protect the engine from damage. A failed or weak knock sensor can trigger a check engine light, reduce fuel economy, and leave the engine vulnerable to detonation damage. Replacing it with the GPD 1811759 restores proper ignition timing control and engine protection.
