GPD 1811943 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor Replacement

The GPD 1811943 is a direct-fit replacement ignition knock sensor, also known as a detonation sensor, engineered to meet or exceed original equipment (OE) fit, form, and function. GPD (Global Parts Distributors) is a well-established supplier of premium-quality automotive components, delivering reliable replacements at a competitive value.

Key Features:

• OE-quality replacement — designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for a precise, direct-fit installation
• 100% tested for durability and consistent performance before leaving the factory
• Detects engine knock and pre-ignition — mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold to monitor abnormal combustion vibrations
• Sends voltage signals to the ECM — the engine control module uses these signals to automatically adjust ignition timing and protect the engine from damage
• Prevents engine damage caused by detonation, spark knock, and pre-ignition events
• 1-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship

A faulty knock sensor can trigger a Check Engine light, reduce fuel efficiency, and allow damaging detonation events to go uncorrected. The GPD 1811943 restores proper sensor function, helping the engine management system maintain optimal ignition timing for performance, efficiency, and engine longevity.
