GPD 1811920 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1811920 is a direct-fit ignition knock (detonation) sensor engineered to meet OEM specifications for fit, form, and function. Knock sensors—also referred to as detonation sensors—are mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold and are a critical component of the engine management system.

This sensor detects abnormal vibrations caused by engine pre-ignition or detonation and relays that signal to the engine control unit (ECU), which then adjusts ignition timing accordingly to protect the engine and maintain optimal performance.
