GPD 1811919 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1811919 is a direct-fit replacement ignition knock sensor, also known as a detonation sensor, engineered to meet or exceed original equipment (OE) fit, form, and function standards. This sensor plays a critical role in protecting your engine from harmful pre-ignition and detonation events.

How It Works:

The knock sensor mounts on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold and continuously monitors for abnormal vibration frequencies caused by engine knock, pre-ignition, or detonation. When irregular vibrations are detected, the sensor sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM), which adjusts ignition timing to prevent engine damage.
