GPD 1811913 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor OE Replacement

The GPD 1811913 is a direct-fit ignition knock sensor (also known as a detonation sensor) engineered as a precise OE replacement. GPD (Global Parts Distributors) designs this sensor to meet or exceed original equipment fit, form, and function, ensuring reliable performance and a seamless installation.

How It Works:

The knock sensor is mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, where it continuously monitors for abnormal vibrations associated with engine pre-ignition or detonation. When knock is detected, the sensor transmits a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), which adjusts ignition timing to protect the engine from damage.

Key Features:

• OE-equivalent design — engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
• Direct-fit replacement — no modifications required for installation
• 100% tested for durability and performance prior to leaving the factory
• Protects critical engine components including pistons, connecting rods, valves, head gaskets, and spark plugs from knock-related damage
• Precision signal output — communicates detonation events accurately to the PCM for proper timing correction
• 1-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

Replacing a faulty knock sensor restores proper ignition timing control, improves fuel efficiency, and prevents long-term engine damage caused by uncorrected detonation. The GPD 1811913 is a professional-quality solution for technicians and DIY installers alike.
