GPD 1811883 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1811883 is a direct-fit replacement ignition knock sensor, also known as a detonation sensor, engineered to meet or exceed original equipment (OE) fit, form, and function. This sensor plays a critical role in protecting your engine from damaging pre-ignition and detonation events.

How It Works:

The knock sensor is mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, where it continuously monitors engine vibrations. When abnormal knock or detonation is detected, the sensor signals the engine control module (ECM) to retard ignition timing, preventing engine damage and restoring efficient combustion.

Key Features:

• Designed to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function specifications
• 100% tested for durability and performance before leaving the factory
• Direct-fit replacement — no modifications required for installation
• Manufactured by GPD (Global Parts Distributors), a trusted supplier of automotive components
• Backed by GPD's 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

Replacing a faulty knock sensor restores proper ignition timing control, eliminates knock sensor diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and helps maintain optimal engine efficiency and longevity.
