Burnham 109634-03 Automatic Vent Damper - 6 GVD-6PL

The Burnham 109634-03 is a 6-inch automatic vent damper designed to reduce off-cycle venting losses in gas-fired boilers and heating systems. This damper works automatically to allow natural draft during appliance operation while preventing residual heat and conditioned air from escaping through the vent during off cycles.

Key Features:

• Stainless steel construction provides superior corrosion resistance and long service life
• Dual safety switches ensure the burner only fires when damper is in the fully open position
• Opens and closes in approximately 15 seconds when thermostat calls for heat
• Compatible with all 24 VAC, 60 Hz intermittent ignition and standing pilot systems
• Hold-open switch allows damper to be locked open for troubleshooting
• Power is off at motor when damper is at rest, reducing energy consumption
• Prevents infiltration of cold air during downdrafts
• Keyed wiring harness connector prevents incorrect installation

Operation: During off cycles, the damper remains closed to prevent airflow through the vent. When there is a call for heat, the motor rotates the damper 90 degrees to the open position, allowing flue gases to pass freely. When the thermostat is satisfied, the damper automatically closes to conserve energy.

Important Note: This unit does not include the wiring harness, which must be purchased separately. Compatible with Burnham New Yorker and other gas boiler models. Designed to integrate seamlessly with existing appliance safety controls without interference.
