Wells 7D1174 Diverter Valve

The Wells 7D1174 Diverter Valve is an emissions control component designed to manage airflow through the exhaust system during engine cold starts. This air management valve helps reduce harmful emissions during the critical warm-up period when engines run rich and are most susceptible to producing excess hydrocarbons.

Key Features:

• Controls air flow through exhaust system during cold start operations
• Helps reduce emissions and meet environmental standards
• Designed to meet or exceed OE specifications for form, fit, and function
• Manufactured by Wells Vehicle Electronics, a leading supplier of advanced vehicle electronics
• Direct replacement for worn or failed original equipment diverter valves

When a diverter valve fails or wears out, vehicles may experience rich exhaust during engine warm-up, potential catalytic converter damage, premature oxygen sensor failure, or excessive hydrocarbons in the engine oil. Replacing a faulty diverter valve with this Wells component helps restore proper emissions control and protects other critical engine components from damage.
