Maxitrol M511-3/4 Modulating Gas Valve for Direct Fired Burners HVAC Control Valves & Actuators - 3/4

The Maxitrol M511-3/4 is a 3/4-inch modulating gas valve that serves as the heart of the Selectra Electronic Gas Flame Modulating System, providing precise, non-fluctuating, instantaneous temperature control without requiring a motor or mechanically driven butterfly valve. This valve is designed exclusively for negative pressure (pull through) applications and uses a counter spring to keep the valve in the closed position despite the downward pull of negative pressure.

With the main valve closed, an adjustable bypass provides a minimum firing rate to the burner whenever the safety shut-off valve is open, maintaining constant low fire to the heater while the pressure regulator maintains a constant supply pressure. As voltage is applied to the control's solenoid, a magnetic force is applied to the plunger, and when the force is sufficient to overcome the counter spring, the main valve will open and gas will flow through the main valve in addition to flowing through the bypass.

This valve is ideal for applications requiring consistent temperature control including area heating, elevated heating, and process applications such as baking and drying. Professional installation by a licensed gas fitter is required.
