Wells 5D1062 Ignition Distributor Cap OE Replacement

The Wells 5D1062 is an OE-replacement ignition distributor cap engineered by Wells Vehicle Electronics to meet or exceed original equipment specifications in form, fit, and function. Designed as a direct-fit replacement, this distributor cap restores proper high-voltage distribution to the ignition system for reliable engine operation.

How It Works:

The distributor cap routes high-tension secondary current from the ignition coil—via the rotor—to each of the corresponding spark plug wires. A worn or corroded cap can cause the internal terminals to oxidize, creating excessive secondary resistance that leads to engine misfires and other drivability issues. Replacing a failing cap restores the clean electrical path needed for consistent ignition timing and combustion.
