Dorman 904-7163 Exhaust Backpressure Sensor

The Dorman 904-7163 Exhaust Backpressure Sensor is a direct replacement sensor designed to monitor exhaust system pressure in diesel engines. This sensor plays a critical role in emissions control and engine performance by measuring backpressure in the exhaust system and sending data to the engine control module (ECM).

Key Features:

• Direct-fit replacement for original equipment sensor on select vehicles
• Monitors exhaust backpressure to optimize diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration
• Durable construction designed to withstand high exhaust temperatures
• Helps maintain proper emissions system function and prevent check engine lights
• Vehicle-specific design ensures proper fit and function

This backpressure sensor is essential for maintaining proper operation of diesel emissions systems, particularly those equipped with diesel particulate filters. A faulty backpressure sensor can trigger warning lights, affect engine performance, and prevent proper DPF regeneration cycles.
