GPD 1811775 Ignition Knock Sensor Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1811775 is a direct-fit replacement ignition knock sensor (also known as a detonation sensor) designed to restore proper engine management performance. The knock sensor is mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold and continuously monitors for abnormal engine vibrations associated with pre-ignition or detonation (knock).

When the sensor detects these harmful vibrations, it sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM), which adjusts ignition timing to protect the engine from damage. A faulty or failed knock sensor can result in poor fuel economy, reduced power, rough running, and can trigger a check engine light.
