GMB 930-2040 Thermal Engine Cooling Fan Clutch

The GMB 930-2040 is a thermal engine cooling fan clutch engineered to maintain optimal engine temperature by automatically regulating radiator fan speed in response to ambient air temperature. As a direct-fit replacement, it restores proper cooling system performance and helps prevent engine overheating.

The thermal fan clutch uses a temperature-sensitive bimetal sensor to modulate a silicone oil control valve, continuously varying fan speed based on cooling demand. At highway speeds or during cold starts, the clutch partially disengages to reduce parasitic power loss and engine noise. Under high heat loads — such as low-speed city driving or towing — the clutch fully engages to maximize airflow through the radiator.

Key Features:

• Thermal fan clutch design — bimetal temperature sensor opens and closes the silicone oil flow control aperture for precise, automatic speed regulation
• OE-quality construction — engineered and manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for fit, form, and function
• ISO/TS 16949 certified manufacturing — produced under the strictest quality management guidelines
• Improved engine warm-up times — reduced fan drag during cold operation allows the engine to reach operating temperature faster
• Quieter operation — controlled fan speed minimizes unnecessary noise under normal driving conditions
• Reduced power loss — fan only draws full engine power when cooling is actually needed, improving efficiency
• 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty — backed by GMB's standard limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship
