GMB Thermal Engine Cooling Fan Clutch

The GMB Thermal Engine Cooling Fan Clutch (also called a thermal fan clutch or radiator fan clutch) helps regulate engine temperature by controlling how the cooling fan is driven. It is a temperature-sensitive unit that engages and disengages the fan as engine cooling needs change.

Key Features:

• Thermal (temperature-responsive) design that increases fan engagement when the engine runs hot and lets the fan freewheel when cooling demand is low
• Helps reduce unnecessary fan drag, which can cut engine load and fan noise
• Supports consistent engine cooling and helps protect against overheating
• Replacement-style design from GMB, a long-established supplier of aftermarket engine cooling and drivetrain components
• Offered under multiple part numbers within the same product line

Replacing a worn or failing fan clutch can help restore proper cooling performance. Symptoms of a worn clutch include overheating at idle, excessive fan noise, or a fan that spins freely when the engine is hot.
