Febi 2544 Engine Freeze Plug Diameter - 25.4mm

The Febi 2544 is a 25.4mm diameter frost plug designed to seal round openings in engine castings. Core plugs are convex metal discs used to seal round holes that are found in many engine castings. They are incorporated in the castings as part of their manufacturing process and are intended to allow the sand, used as a "core", to be removed from inside the casting.

Key Features:

• 25.4mm (1 inch) outer diameter
• Precision-engineered convex metal disc design
• Direct replacement for OEM specifications
• Manufactured by Febi Bilstein, established in 1844
• Protects engine block from coolant leaks and freeze damage

Over time, freeze plugs tend to corrode, usually from the inside, and then leak. They can also be forced out in frosty weather if you have not filled your cooling system with anti-freeze. This replacement plug restores the critical seal in your engine block, preventing coolant loss and potential engine damage. Commonly used in Mercedes-Benz applications, this expansion plug is also cross-referenced under multiple OEM part numbers including Mercedes-Benz 000443025003 and A000443025003.

Note: Please verify the diameter of your existing plug prior to ordering to ensure proper fitment.
