Febi Engine Freeze Plug

The Febi engine freeze plug, also called an engine expansion plug, core plug or frost plug, seals the casting holes left in an engine block or cylinder head after manufacturing. Febi Bilstein supplies this line as an OE-quality replacement for European vehicles.

Key Features:

• Reliable sealing: The plug presses into the casting hole and seals it against coolant and oil leaks.
• Block protection: The plug can pop out if coolant freezes. This relieves pressure that could otherwise crack the engine block.
• Durable metal construction: Sheet steel plugs are made for long service life in a hot, wet engine environment.
• OE-quality replacement: Febi Bilstein makes these parts to match the original equipment they replace.
• Multiple applications: Plugs are available for engine block, cylinder head and access-port locations.

Freeze plugs normally last a long time. It is still good practice to replace them during engine work, or when you see coolant seepage, rust or corrosion around a plug. Select the child item that matches the plug you need.
