Product Details

The ACDelco 18024538 Brake Pad Wear Sensor is a precision-engineered electronic sensor designed to monitor brake pad thickness and alert the driver when brake pads have worn to a critical level. This sensor works by completing an electrical circuit that triggers a warning light on the vehicle's dashboard when the brake pad material has worn down to the minimum safe thickness.

Key Features:

  • OE-quality replacement sensor engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
  • Electronic wear indicator provides early warning of brake pad deterioration
  • Helps prevent brake system damage by alerting driver before pads wear completely
  • Direct-fit replacement for specific GM and other vehicle applications
  • Durable construction designed to withstand heat, moisture, and road contaminants
  • Pre-attached wire lead for straightforward installation

Regular replacement of brake pad wear sensors is essential for maintaining proper brake system monitoring and vehicle safety. When replacing brake pads, it's recommended to replace the wear sensor at the same time, as these are typically single-use components that cannot be reused once activated.
