Product Details

The ACDelco 89040217 is a GM Original Equipment automatic transmission auxiliary fluid cooler designed as a direct replacement for your vehicle's original factory component. This heat exchanger plays a critical role in maintaining optimal transmission performance by transferring heat from transmission fluid to either the engine coolant or ambient air, helping keep transmission temperatures within the proper operating range.

Key Features:

  • GM Original Equipment part manufactured to exact OE specifications for fit, form, and function
  • Heat exchanger design effectively manages transmission fluid temperatures
  • Helps optimize transmission efficiency and longevity by preventing overheating
  • Core dimensions: 13.25 inches wide x 5 inches tall x 1.25 inches deep
  • Designed for Allison 5-speed automatic transmissions in select GM trucks
  • Includes necessary fittings for installation
  • Backed by General Motors engineering and quality standards

This transmission cooler is essential for maintaining proper fluid temperatures during towing, hauling, and demanding driving conditions. It's recommended to replace the transmission cooler whenever installing a rebuilt transmission, as old coolers can harbor debris and contaminants that may damage the new unit. ACDelco Original Equipment parts deliver the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from genuine General Motors components.
