Quality-Built 12121 QB Premium Remanufactured Starter

The Quality-Built 12121 is a QB Premium remanufactured starter engineered to meet or exceed original equipment (OE) specifications for reliable, consistent engine starting performance. Manufactured by Motor Car Parts of America (MPA) — the largest remanufacturer of import starters and alternators in North America — this starter undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process that goes far beyond a basic rebuild.

Key Features:

• 100% New Brushes: Worn brushes are the leading cause of starter failure; every unit receives all-new brushes tested for durability and long-term performance
• Precision-Machined Armatures & Commutators: Electronically tested to ensure consistent starting performance with every turn of the key
• New Bronze-Sintered Bushings: Oil-impregnated armature support bushings deliver maximum wear resistance and quiet operation
• Remanufactured Drive Clutch Assembly: Fully dismantled and reassembled with aerospace-quality, high-temperature grease for maximum durability
• OE-Quality Terminals: High-temp insulators ensure secure, reliable electrical connections
• Blasted-Clean Housing: All mounting threads are inspected and re-tapped for easy installation and consistent torque
• New Solenoid Components: 100% new copper contacts, terminal hardware, and high-temperature solenoid caps for consistent starter engagement
• ISO/TS 16949 Certified Manufacturing: Built in certified facilities using Durability Testing, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Manufacturing principles

Unlike a typical rebuilt starter — which may reuse worn components that contributed to the original failure — every wear-prone part in this QB Premium unit is replaced with a new component regardless of its condition at the time of remanufacture. The result is a starter that delivers professional installer-grade reliability at an accessible price point, backed by a Quality-Built warranty.
