The Motorad EVP0212 is a direct-fit Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid — also commonly called a canister vent solenoid, EVAP solenoid, or emissions vent solenoid — designed to keep your vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system functioning properly. This solenoid controls the venting of the fuel vapor canister, playing a critical role in EVAP system integrity tests run by the OBD-II monitor. A failed or sluggish vent solenoid is a leading cause of large-leak codes such as P0455 and P0442, as well as vent-circuit fault codes P0446, P0498, and P0499.
