Sumitomo Encounter Highway All-Season Tire

The Sumitomo Encounter HT2 is a highway all-season tire for pickups, SUVs, crossovers and full-size vans. It is built for year-round traction and a smooth, quiet ride, and it suits both daily commuting and long-distance driving. It is designed to grip dry, wet and light-snow roads.

Key Features:

• Quiet, comfortable ride: Smooth, curved shoulder grooves help trap airborne noise in the tread pattern.
• Wet and dry traction: Wave-shaped lateral sipes improve braking and grip on wet and dry pavement.
• Hydroplaning resistance: Wide circumferential grooves channel water out of the contact patch.
• Even wear and easy rotation: An optimized symmetric tread design supports even tread wear and simple rotation.
• Durable construction: A two-ply polyester casing with a reinforced bead apex adds durability and control under heavy loads.
• High-speed stability: Twin steel belts are covered by a full-width, jointless polyamide cap ply.
• All-season compound: It gives dependable traction in changing weather, including light snow. It does not carry the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating.

Sumitomo has been making tires in Japan since 1909. The Encounter HT2 is a value-focused highway tire that balances comfort, handling and long tread life.
