Product Details

The Sumitomo Encounter HT2 is a highway all-season tire designed for drivers of pickups, SUVs, crossovers, and full-sized vans seeking dependable year-round traction with a smooth, quiet ride. Built to balance the needs of daily commutes and cross-country trips, this tire delivers reliable performance in dry, wet, and wintry driving conditions, even in light snow.

Key Features:

  • Wide interconnected circumferential grooves channel water from the footprint for enhanced hydroplaning resistance and confidence in inclement weather
  • Wave-shaped lateral sipes integrated into robust tread blocks create stable biting edges for traction on wet and wintry roads
  • Optimized symmetric tread design provides simple rotation options, even tread wear, and stable dry handling characteristics
  • Smooth curved shoulder grooves trap airborne noise in the pattern for a quiet, comfortable ride
  • Reinforced twin steel belts help prevent uneven wear for longer tread life, while 2-ply sidewalls increase strength and durability for higher load carrying capacity
  • Backed by a 60,000-mile treadwear warranty

The Encounter HT2 builds on the legendary performance of its predecessor, providing excellent wet braking, impressive dry handling, extended tread life, and a smooth quiet ride all year long. This tire combines advanced engineering with practical performance to deliver value and reliability for everyday driving needs.
