Wells Fast Idle Valve Solenoid

The Wells Fast Idle Valve Solenoid (also called a fast idle air valve or auxiliary air regulator) helps control engine idle speed. It holds the throttle slightly open. This lets a metered amount of air pass under the throttle plate, so the engine runs a fast idle when needed, such as during cold starts and warm-up.

Key Features:

• Meters air around the throttle plate to support a stable fast idle
• Designed to meet or exceed OE specifications in form, fit and function
• Made by Wells Vehicle Electronics, a professional-grade vehicle electronics brand
• Replacement part for import and domestic applications

A worn or failing fast idle valve can cause idle speed that is too high or too low, and the engine may stall at idle. Replacing it restores smoother, more consistent idle performance.
