Wells 6F1003 Fast Idle Valve Solenoid

The Wells 6F1003 Fast Idle Valve Solenoid is a precision-engineered engine management component designed to regulate idle speed during cold starts and engine warm-up. This solenoid holds the throttle slightly open, allowing a metered amount of air under the throttle plate to maintain a fast idle until the engine reaches optimal operating temperature.

Key Features:

• Direct-fit OE replacement design ensures easy installation
• Engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications in form, fit, and function
• High-quality construction withstands extreme engine bay temperatures and conditions
• Provides precise idle speed control during cold start conditions
• Undergoes extensive testing to ensure reliability and performance

Why Replace:

A failing fast idle valve solenoid can cause several drivability issues including excessively high or low idle speeds, engine stalling at idle, rough idle performance, and difficulty starting. Replacing this component restores proper idle control and engine performance. Wells Vehicle Electronics is a leading manufacturer of advanced vehicle electronics components for the automotive aftermarket, offering high-technology manufacturing with innovative solutions that match or improve upon OE designs.
