EBC XC Series Contour Brake Rotor

The EBC XC Series Contour Brake Rotor (also called the XC contour floating brake disc) is a lightweight motorcycle brake rotor. It is built for street sport and road race riding. Each rotor combines a stainless steel braking surface with a lightweight alloy center hub. It is a direct replacement for the OEM rotor and is made to improve braking feel and rotor life.

Key Features:

• High-friction stainless blend: The rotor blades use a special stainless steel blend. EBC says it has a higher friction effect than the heat-treated stainless steel on stock discs, with up to a 10% improvement.
• SD-System square drive buttons: Square-sided buttons let the rotor blade expand and contract freely under braking heat. This helps keep the rotor stable at any speed or load and helps prevent distortion.
• Long service life: The square drive design transmits braking forces through line contact instead of the point contact of round buttons. This helps keep the rotor blade true and flat over its life, and EBC says it can last several times longer than conventional round-button rotors.
• Lightweight contoured design: The six-button drive system and alloy hub reduce weight by 5-10% compared with stock parts.
• Riveted construction: The rotor is riveted together and is not designed to be rebuilt, because the SD system gives it a long service life.
• British made: The rotors are produced in the United Kingdom.

The XC Series is a good upgrade for riders who want lighter unsprung weight, steady braking performance and long-lasting rotors.
