GPD Camshaft Position Sensor

The GPD Camshaft Position Sensor (also called a cam position sensor or CMP sensor) monitors the position and rotational speed of the camshaft. It sends that signal to the engine control module (ECM). The ECM uses the signal to time fuel injection and ignition accurately and to keep the engine running smoothly.

Key Features:

• Replacement sensor made to restore proper camshaft position signal output
• Supports accurate fuel injection and ignition timing
• Helps maintain smooth starting, steady idle, and consistent engine performance
• Designed for reliable operation in demanding under-hood heat and vibration
• Helps resolve symptoms of a failing sensor, such as hard starting, stalling, rough running, reduced fuel economy, and a check engine light
