Dorman Pressurized Coolant Reservoir

The Dorman Pressurized Coolant Reservoir, also called a coolant expansion tank, coolant overflow tank or coolant recovery tank, is a replacement part for the engine cooling system. It holds excess coolant as it expands when the engine heats up. It returns that coolant to the system as the engine cools down. Because the reservoir is pressurized, it also helps maintain proper system pressure.

Key Features:

• Pressurized design that helps keep cooling system pressure and coolant level stable
• Gives expanding coolant somewhere to go, and helps reduce coolant loss and air in the system
• Replaces cracked, leaking, stained or warped original reservoirs
• Made to match the form, fit and function of the original equipment part
• Often includes the cap and any needed sensors or hardware, depending on the part number

A failing reservoir can lead to coolant leaks, low coolant warnings and overheating. Replacing it restores reliable coolant management and helps protect the engine from heat damage. Dorman is a long-established aftermarket supplier known for OE-style replacement parts and solutions for hard-to-find or failure-prone components.
