Dorman Remanufactured Transmission Control Module TCM

The Dorman Remanufactured Transmission Control Module (TCM), also called a transmission control unit (TCU) or transmission computer, is the electronic module that manages automatic transmission operation. It processes input from vehicle sensors and controls shift timing, shift quality and torque converter clutch operation. This helps the transmission shift smoothly and perform consistently.

Key Features:

• Remanufactured replacement for a failed or malfunctioning transmission control module
• Helps address symptoms such as harsh or erratic shifting, delayed engagement, the transmission stuck in one gear, limp mode and transmission-related warning lights
• Units are remanufactured and tested to confirm proper function before they ship
• Replaces the original equipment module for a direct-fit installation
• Backed by Dorman's reputation as a supplier of aftermarket automotive replacement parts

Choosing a remanufactured module is a cost-effective way to restore transmission performance without buying a new original equipment unit. Programming or calibration requirements vary by application, so follow the installation guidelines that come with the specific part.
