Dorman 609-072 Remanufactured Transmission Control Module TCM

The Dorman 609-072 is a remanufactured Transmission Control Module (TCM) designed as a direct-fit replacement for select vehicles. Dorman remanufactures each unit to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, restoring proper automatic transmission operation without the cost of a brand-new OEM module.

Key Features:

• Remanufactured to OE specifications for reliable, long-term performance
• Direct-fit replacement — no modifications required for installation
• Restores proper transmission shift control and communication with the vehicle's powertrain system
• Each unit is tested to ensure correct function before leaving the factory
• Helps resolve transmission shifting issues, erratic gear changes, and TCM-related fault codes
• Cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new OEM transmission control module

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) is a critical electronic component responsible for managing automatic transmission behavior, including shift timing, torque converter lock-up, and communication with the engine control system. A failed TCM can cause symptoms such as harsh or erratic shifting, transmission slipping, failure to shift, or stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). The Dorman 609-072 is engineered to restore factory-level transmission performance.
