DBA En-Shield Hybrid Composite Brake Rotor

The DBA En-Shield Hybrid Composite (HC) brake rotor is an OE-style replacement disc brake rotor from DBA (Disc Brakes Australia). It is part of the Street Series. It uses a two-piece construction and a corrosion-resistant En-Shield coating. It suits daily driving and gives a clean, long-lasting finish.

Key Features:

• Hybrid composite design: A cast iron braking surface is permanently bonded to an aluminum or steel hat. The bond is made with rivets or by co-casting.
• Reduced weight: The two-piece design can cut weight by up to 15% compared with a conventional one-piece rotor.
• En-Shield corrosion protection: A baked-on zinc/aluminum water-based coating helps resist rust and keeps the rotor looking good in service. It can also reduce the need for pre-installation cleaning.
• DBA iron composition: The braking surface is made from DBA's own iron formulation.
• Surface design: Depending on the application, slots and/or chamfered drill holes let friction dust and gases escape. This helps give a quieter, more responsive pedal feel.
• Thermal efficiency: Ventilated designs, including DBA's Kangaroo Paw vanes on applicable rotors, improve heat dissipation.
• Bi-directional use: Symmetrical slotting and/or drilling allows left/right use on applicable designs.
• R90 certification: DBA lists full R90 certification for its Street Series HC rotors.
