Heil Hot Surface Ignitor for Gas Furnaces

The Heil hot surface ignitor for gas furnaces is a replacement furnace igniter (also called a hot surface igniter or HSI) that lights the main burners in your gas furnace. When the thermostat calls for heat, the ignitor element heats up until it glows and ignites the gas. This starts the heating cycle reliably.

Key Features:

• Direct-replacement hot surface ignitor designed for Heil gas furnace systems
• Heats quickly to the temperature needed for gas ignition
• Heat-resistant ceramic-type element built for repeated heating cycles
• Helps restore dependable startup when a furnace has no heat, short-cycles, or fails to light
• Simple replacement in most applications, with the ignitor mounted near the burner assembly

Replacing a worn or cracked ignitor is a common repair for restoring furnace performance. Handle the element carefully and avoid touching it with bare fingers, because skin oils can shorten its life. Choose the specific part number that matches your furnace model from the available options.
