Belimo Control Valve with Proportional Actuator

The Belimo Characterized Control Valve (CCV) with proportional actuator is a hydronic control valve for HVAC heating and cooling systems. It is also called a modulating ball valve with actuator or a chilled water or hot water control valve. It combines the tight close-off of a ball valve with a characterized disc. The disc gives an equal percentage flow characteristic and good control at light loads. A proportional (modulating) Belimo rotary actuator throttles the valve over its range in response to the control signal. This gives smooth, accurate temperature control of coils and other terminal units.
