Kolbenschmidt Rod Bearing Set Oversize

The Kolbenschmidt Rod Bearing Set Oversize is a connecting rod bearing set (also called a con rod bearing or big-end bearing set) for engine rebuilds where the crankshaft journals have been ground undersize and need oversize-matched bearings. Kolbenschmidt is a German manufacturer of engine components and is part of the Rheinmetall Automotive group. It supplies original equipment to automakers and also sells aftermarket parts.

Key Features:

• Oversize bearing shells for use with reground crankshaft journals
• Engineered to provide a stable oil film between the rod journal and bearing surface
• Precision-manufactured shells for consistent wall thickness and proper bearing crush
• Designed to support smooth engine operation and long service life in rebuilt engines

Measure the crankshaft journals and bearing clearances carefully before installation, and follow the engine manufacturer's specifications for torque and clearance. Each variant in this line is offered in its own oversize specification, so select the one that matches your machined crankshaft.
