Metrix Engine Cooling Fan Clutch

The Metrix Engine Cooling Fan Clutch (also called a thermostatic fan clutch or radiator fan clutch) is a replacement part that controls how the engine cooling fan is driven. When the engine is cool, the clutch lets the fan freewheel. This helps the engine warm up faster and reduces unnecessary load on it. As under-hood temperatures rise, the clutch engages and drives the fan to pull more air through the radiator.

Key Features:

• Temperature-responsive operation that engages the fan when cooling is needed and releases it when it is not
• Helps reduce parasitic engine load, noise and fan drag when full cooling airflow is not required
• Supports consistent engine temperature control and helps protect the cooling system from overheating
• Designed as a direct replacement for a worn or failed original fan clutch
• Part of the Metrix line of engine cooling and A/C components for a wide range of vehicles

A failing fan clutch can cause overheating, poor air conditioning performance at idle, or a loud roaring fan. Replacing it restores proper airflow and cooling system performance. Select the child item that matches your application.
