Metrix 100990 Engine Cooling Fan Clutch

The Metrix 100990 is an engine cooling fan clutch designed to regulate radiator cooling fan operation based on engine temperature and speed. This thermal fan clutch automatically adjusts fan speed to optimize engine cooling efficiency while reducing unnecessary drag and noise when additional airflow is not required.

Key Features:

• Designed as a direct replacement part for specific vehicle applications
• Automatically engages and disengages based on engine temperature
• Helps maintain optimal engine operating temperature in traffic and low-speed conditions
• Reduces parasitic drag on the engine when cooling demand is low
• Manufactured to meet OE specifications for reliable performance

The fan clutch plays a critical role in your vehicle's cooling system by pulling air across the radiator and condenser to remove heat. When driving at highway speeds, the natural airflow reduces the need for fan operation, and the clutch disengages to improve fuel efficiency. In stop-and-go traffic or during low-speed operation, the clutch engages to provide maximum cooling airflow and prevent overheating.
