Maxitrol NPT Gas Filter Heating Parts & Accessories

The Maxitrol NPT gas filter (also called a gas and air filter or fuel gas strainer) protects downstream gas train components from dust and particulate contamination. It is designed to be installed upstream of regulators, automatic shut-off valves, fittings, and other controls. Each filter in this line has NPT threaded connections for installation in standard gas piping.

Key Features:

• Durable cast aluminum housing for dependable service in heating and process equipment
• Polypropylene-impregnated fleece filter matting with a wide filtering surface and depth. This gives it a high capacity for accumulated dust.
• Fine filtration: the filter material blocks particles larger than about 0.05 mm (50 microns)
• Replaceable filter inserts that are quick and easy to change during maintenance
• 15 PSI maximum operating inlet pressure
• Ambient temperature limit of 175°F (80°C)
• Compact housing suited to new equipment installations or retrofits on existing systems

Applications: These filters are suitable for natural gas, manufactured gas, mixed gases, liquefied petroleum (LP) gas, LP gas-air mixtures, and air. They are used in residential, commercial cooking, process heating, and industrial burner applications. NFPA 86 calls for a gas filter or strainer on new ovens and furnaces, and this line can help meet that requirement.
