Asco Cable Operated Gas Shutoff Valve

The ASCO cable operated gas shutoff valve (also called a cable controlled fuel gas shutoff valve or cable release gas valve) is a 2-way, normally closed aluminum body valve. It shuts off fuel gas flow when the cable holding it open is released or pulled, depending on the series. It is built for commercial, industrial and institutional kitchen gas lines.

Key Features:

• 2-way, normally closed design for fuel gas service
• Lightweight aluminum body with NPT threaded connections
• Designed to meet National Fire Protection Association safety requirements for commercial kitchens. NFPA 96 calls for an extinguishing system to automatically shut off all fuel and heat sources to gas pilots.
• Manual operation is needed to restore the gas supply after shutoff
• UL-listed for low-pressure gas shutoff applications
• Can be mounted in any position, which simplifies installation
• Available in release-to-close (HV216) and pull-to-close (JV216) cable operation styles

ASCO is a well-known maker of fluid control and automation products. These valves give dependable, code-conscious fuel shutoff protection for kitchen fire suppression systems and other low-pressure gas applications. Choose the child item that matches your pipe size and cable operation style.
