Asco HV216585-2 Cable Operated Gas Shutoff Valve - 1

The ASCO HV216585-2 is a cable-controlled gas shutoff valve designed to shut off gas flow when the cable holding it in the open position is released. This 1" NPT valve features a 2-way aluminum body design that meets safety standards for commercial, industrial, and institutional kitchens set by the National Fire Protection Association.

Key Features:

• 1" NPT pipe size with approximately 1" orifice
• Cable-operated release-to-close mechanism
• Aluminum body construction for durability
• 0 to 5 PSI operating pressure differential
• Nitrile butylene sealing material
• UL-listed for safety compliance
• Can be mounted in any position for installation flexibility

This valve is specifically designed for commercial kitchen fire suppression systems where the operation of an extinguishing system automatically shuts off all sources of fuel and heat to gas pilots, with manual operation required to reestablish the fuel supply. The normally closed design ensures that gas flow is immediately stopped when the cable is released during an emergency situation.
