Clevite P-Series High Performance Rod Bearings

Clevite P-Series rod bearings are the oldest members of the Clevite 77 performance bearing family. These connecting rod bearings are built for performance engine builds and rebuilds. They're intended for high-revving engines, especially those where high rpm causes the rod bores to narrow.

Key Features:

• Hardened steel backing adds strength and resistance to fretting.
• High crush gives maximum bearing retention.
• Reduced overlay thickness helps prevent overlay fatigue, sometimes called hen tracking.
• Rod bearings in this series typically have the greatest amount of eccentricity.
• Many applications have dowel holes in the lower sections for use with aluminum rods.
• Extra-clearance versions are available with an additional 0.001 in. of clearance for select fitting.

P-Series bearings are not the same as standard passenger car and light truck parts that carry a "P" suffix. They have their own core part numbers. Choose the correct part number for your engine and crankshaft journal size. This gives engine builders a proven, durable rod bearing for performance and racing use.
