VEMO A/C Expansion Valve

The VEMO A/C expansion valve (also called an AC expansion valve, A/C thermal expansion valve or TXV) is a key part of the vehicle's air conditioning system. It meters the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator. This controls cooling performance and helps the A/C system run efficiently.

Key Features:

• Regulates refrigerant flow into the evaporator to help maintain consistent cabin cooling
• Helps protect the A/C compressor by keeping refrigerant flow properly metered
• Made to meet the quality standards of VEMO, a brand of the Germany-based Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche-independent parts supplier Vemo/Vaico, known for European vehicle parts
• Designed as a replacement part for precise fit and reliable function
• Helps restore cooling performance when the original valve is clogged, stuck or leaking

A failing expansion valve can cause weak cooling, uneven vent temperatures or A/C icing. Replacing it restores proper refrigerant control. When you replace the valve, it is good practice to service the A/C system. That includes evacuating and recharging it and replacing the receiver-drier or accumulator as needed.
