ACDelco Vapor Canister - Evaporative Emission Control

The ACDelco Vapor Canister (also called an EVAP canister or fuel vapor canister) is a key part of your vehicle's evaporative emission control system. It traps fuel vapors from the fuel tank so they don't escape into the atmosphere. The engine later draws those vapors in and burns them.

Key Features:

• Stores fuel vapors from the fuel system and releases them to the engine for combustion through the purge process
• Helps the vehicle meet evaporative emission standards
• Contains activated carbon to adsorb and hold hydrocarbon vapors
• Built as a replacement part for a reliable, direct-fit installation
• Backed by ACDelco, the original equipment parts brand of General Motors

A failing vapor canister can cause a check engine light, EVAP-related trouble codes, fuel odor, trouble refueling, or a failed emissions test. Replacing a cracked, saturated, or clogged canister helps restore proper EVAP system operation. Check the related hoses, valves, and connections when you replace it.
