Bosch 8733941868 Outdoor Coil Temperature Sensor for IDS Heat Pumps - T3

The Bosch 8733941868 is a genuine OEM outdoor coil temperature sensor, designated as the T3 sensor, designed for use with Bosch Inverter Ducted Split (IDS) heat pump systems. This thermistor-type sensor monitors the outdoor coil temperature in real time, providing critical data to the system control board to regulate compressor operation and protect the unit from overtemperature conditions.

The T3 outdoor coil sensor is mounted on the outdoor condenser coil — typically on a U-bend below and to the left of the control board — and continuously feeds resistance-based temperature readings to the system. When coil temperatures exceed safe operating thresholds, the control board uses this data to de-energize the compressor and prevent system damage.

Key Features:

• Genuine Bosch OEM replacement part — ensures accurate fit and performance
• 10k ohm NTC thermistor design — reads approximately 10,000 ohms at 77°F (25°C)
• Designated T3 sensor position — monitors outdoor coil temperature for compressor protection
• Compatible with Bosch IDS and IDP series inverter ducted split heat pump systems, including BOVA series outdoor units
• Triggers compressor de-energization when coil temperature exceeds safe limits
• Direct OEM replacement — restores accurate temperature sensing for proper system control

A faulty T3 sensor can cause inaccurate temperature readings, error codes on the system display, or improper compressor cycling. Replacing a failed outdoor coil sensor with this genuine Bosch OEM part restores proper system operation and protects the heat pump from unnecessary wear or damage. Verify resistance with a digital multimeter before and after replacement.
