Bosch 8733953173 Outdoor Coil Temperature Sensor for IDS Heat Pumps - T3 2.0

The Bosch 8733953173 is an OEM outdoor coil temperature sensor (designated T3) designed for Bosch IDS 2.0 (Inverter Ducted Split) heat pump systems, including BOVA series condensing units. This critical sensor monitors the outdoor coil temperature and plays an essential role in system protection and defrost cycle management.

Key Features:

• Genuine Bosch OEM replacement part ensures proper fit and reliable performance
• T3 sensor monitors outdoor coil temperature for system control and diagnostics
• Essential for defrost cycle operation and system protection functions
• Prevents compressor damage through high temperature protection (triggers at 143.6°F, resets at 129.2°F)
• Works in conjunction with outdoor ambient sensor (T4) for Demand Defrost Control (DDC)
• Compatible with Bosch IDS 2.0 BOVA split system heat pumps
• Displays fault code E4 when sensor fails or experiences wiring issues

This temperature sensor is a vital component for maintaining optimal system performance and protecting your heat pump investment. When the original sensor fails, it can cause system shutdowns or prevent proper defrost operation, making timely replacement crucial for continued reliable heating and cooling operation.
