Keystone GM1237123 Hood Lift Support Strut Left Side OEM Replacement 23100653

The Keystone GM1237123 is an OEM-replacement hood lift support strut for the 2017–2018 GMC Acadia. This gas-charged lift support is designed to restore proper hood operation, holding the hood securely in the open position while you work under the engine compartment. It directly replaces GM OEM part number 23100653 and is engineered to match the original equipment fit and function on the driver side (left) of the vehicle.

Hood lift supports are gas-pressurized cylinders that extend to raise the hood and hold it safely in place. Over time, heat cycles, frequent use, and normal wear cause the internal pressure to diminish, resulting in a hood that sags, lowers slowly, or refuses to stay open—a potential safety hazard for anyone working beneath it. Replacing a worn strut restores safe, reliable hood operation.
