Keystone GM1237138 Hood Lift Support Strut Left Side OEM Replacement 84612350

The Keystone GM1237138 is an OEM-replacement hood lift support strut for the left (driver) side of 2020–2023 GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax diesel engine. This gas-charged strut is engineered to replace factory part number 84612350, restoring proper hood support across all cab configurations — Regular, Double, and Crew Cab.

Hood lift supports (also called hood struts or hood gas props) use pressurized nitrogen gas to hold the hood open securely during engine bay access. Over time, the internal gas charge depletes, causing the hood to slowly fall or fail to stay open — a safety hazard during maintenance. This direct-fit replacement restores the correct holding force without modification.
